I am slowly coming to the conclusion that I need at least 4 hours of work to get anything concrete done. It seems that anything less than that, I can't accomplish anything.
In particular I am talking about writing code. I mean I can probably hack together a feature in less than an hour, but writing code is not all about writing code. There is the part where you have to figure out what you want to do, scope it out, figureout where to put it, what methods to call, and also, the mega time consumer of all; making sure it works as you expect it. Its pretty amazing but this whole process I have found to be really time taking and extremely involved.
I guess that explains why I work so much better at night. Much easier to get a continous strech of time + all the things you have to do during the day are pretty much nonexistent at night.
